FALL EVENT: HALLOWEEN BLOCK PARTY
The Halloween Block Party is our biggest family event of the year and will be on October 17th!
Previous years activities included a DJ, bounce house and obstacle course, cookie decorating, shirt decorating, cupcake walk, photo booth, face painting, fire trucks, food, local business booths, a silent auction, and more!
This event is completely free and costumes are encouraged!
The MORE store is a program created to promote positive reinforcement of leadership qualities in our students. Students earn Leader Loot for their good behavior and achievements. The students then can use their Leader Loot to purchase various items in the store multiple times a year. The MORE store will look a little different this year due to space available so details and dates TBD.
Volunteers will be needed to plan and organize these events- all ideas and volunteers welcome!
The SSES Talent Show is a fun family event for the participants and spectators! Students of all ages tryout for one of the 25 spots in the show. The Talent Show is planned for February 2020, date TBD.
FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT
PTA is sponsoring a Family Movie Night this Spring!
Have an idea for a future Spring Event? 80s themed family dance party? Movie night? Food truck night? All suggestions and volunteers welcome!
PASTRIES WITH PARENTS
Pastries with Parents is a fun event that's held before school in the fall (date TBD). Parents come with their kids and have donuts, muffins, and other treats as well as juice and coffee.
Volunteers are needed for set up the day before (tables and decorations), set up the morning of, as well as replenishing food.
Our hospitality committee plays such a big part in supporting SSES! These volunteers coordinate, plan, and help facilitate our Teacher and Staff Thanksgiving luncheon, the Sugar Shack in December, Teacher Appreciation Week, and many more fun events!
